Fanny Horta and Dimitri Yachvili are the sponsors of the next edition of the UniLaSalle Ovalies.
The organizing team of the 27th UniLaSalle Ovalies unveiled its sponsors last night. Once again this year, well-known figures in French and world rugby have agreed to sponsor the largest university rugby tournament in Europe.
Dimitri Yachvili, former international of the French national team
With 61 caps, the "Yach" has built up a real record of achievement, with a runner-up title in 2011, two French championship titles in 2005 and 2006 and an English championship title in 2002. As a player in the French team at scrum-half, he won the Grand Slams in 2004 and 2010.
In 2012, Dimitri Yachvili joined the privileged circle of players who have scored more than 600 points in the European Rugby Cup.
Fanny Horta, vice Olympic champion with the French rugby 7s team
The Catalan Fanny Horta, captain of the French Rugby 7s team and Olympic Rugby 7s vice champion in Tokyo 2021, has been a key figure in French women's rugby. Having recently ended her playing career, she announced: "I am putting an end to my career that I never expected to be so extraordinary and rewarding". She is now a member of the athletes' commission in charge of the preparation of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
