At the beginning of February, the BDS and UniLaSalle Beauvais co-organized the French University Archery Championships and saw its Generation 2024 label renewed.

Generation 2024 label renewed for the Beauvais campus

UniLaSalle's Beauvais campus has seen its Generation 2024 label, awarded in 2018, renewed for 3 years. This renewal rewards the efforts made by UniLaSalle to develop sports practice within its establishments.

In a COVID context, the Beauvais campus has been able to stay the course in conjunction with the BDS (Sports Office), and all its local sports partners (association, clubs, town hall, FFSU) to ensure the quality of its sports policy and to maintain a mobilization for the physical and mental well-being of its students. The values of Olympism such as sharing, determination, mutual aid and surpassing oneself are at the heart of the values of the institute that we aim for our students.

Co-organization of the French University Archery Championships, a first for UniLaSalle!

As a symbol, a few days after the good news, the management of the Educational Mission and Student Life and the BDS (Sports Office) co-organized, with the FFSU, the French Archery Federation, the town halls of Beauvais and Allonne and the local Jeanne Hachette club, the French University Archery Championships. A first for UniLaSalle.

Nearly 80 archers from all over France competed on February 3 and 4, requiring the involvement of some 50 student volunteers. A great reward for Faustine Huret and Clémence Journeau, respectively president of the former office and vice-president of the new BDS office.

"It was a real chance to co-organize this championship with the League of Hauts-de-France! We were able to discover the complexity of an event like this one while being accompanied by benevolent people who trusted us from the beginning to the end. A very inspiring experience for future collaborations with the French Federation of University Sports!"

What is the 2024 generation label?

Developed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Ministry of Sports in partnership with local authorities, the sports movement and the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee, the Generation 2024 label aims to support the day-to-day development of sports in higher education and to reinforce its objectives of inclusion, health, respect and civic commitment.
