On Friday January 17, 2020, at the UniLaSalle Rouen Campus, UniLaSalle and its public and private partners inaugurated the "Alliance Agri Avenir" (Agri Future Alliance) Research and Teaching Chair, an initiative aimed at supporting family-based entrepreneurship in agriculture and the food industry.

Encouraging the long-term success of agricultural companies in their local area

As part of efforts to adapt study programs to reflect developments in agricultural professions and provide skills required by the industry, UniLaSalle and Crédit Agricole Normandie Seine have set up the Alliance Agri Avenir Chair with the aim of identifying and investigating the factors that contribute to the long-term success and growth of these mainly family-run businesses.

The activities of the Chair will focus on topics such as identifying drivers of long-term success and sustainable growth, examining the role of local authorities in these companies, exploring the possibilities offered by technological innovation and finding solutions to boost growth using digital methods.

With its Alliance Agri Avenir Chair, UniLaSalle is aiming to develop research activities and projects, to provide relevant initial and continuing training and to transfer this knowledge to the agricultural community.
