The UniLaSalle campus transformation project in Rouen is progressing rapidly for veterinary training with the construction of a Veterinary Teaching Hospital for pets and an anatomy laboratory.

In September 2022, the UniLaSalle Rouen campus welcomed its first class of veterinary students.
To support the development of veterinary training in the region, the campus will soon have its own Veterinary Teaching Hospital for Pets (CHEV) and an anatomy laboratory.
The objectives of CHEV
Starting in their fourth year, students enter the clinical cycle. During this cycle, students will complete clinical rotations to acquire the “first-day skills” necessary to obtain the CEFV (Certificate of Fundamental Veterinary Studies). This is why UniLaSalle, with the support of the Normandy Region, is investing in a CHEV for pets.
More than just a veterinary hospital, the CHEV's primary function will be to provide clinical training for veterinary students, with clinical veterinary teachers and staff specifically trained in clinical veterinary education. The CHEV will also be a center for clinical and translational veterinary research.
NEW EQUIPMENT:
The CHEV building will be located directly on the current student parking lot (which will be replaced by an underground parking lot). It will consist of a technical platform on the ground floor, two floors dedicated to teaching and research, and the CHEV's administrative offices.
In addition, thanks to the layout of the current building, the campus will have a laboratory of over 350 m2, which will enable the anatomy of both small and large animals to be studied.
