Mont-Saint-Aignan, April 16, 2026 – UniLaSalle has just inaugurated Indivisa, the veterinary hospital of the UniLaSalle School of Veterinary Medicine. With the unique distinction of serving as a facility for treating pets, a training center for veterinary students, and a center for applied research, Indivisa held its first consultations on March 23, 2026.

A veterinary clinic that cares for both pets and their owners

All of Indivisa's activities are focused on providing excellent animal care, supporting pet owners at every stage of their pet's life, and training students.

As a result, the care pathway has been designed to meet the specific needs of each species, including, for example, separate waiting rooms and hospitalization areas (including those for contagious diseases).

The reception area for pet owners has been designed to provide functional spaces while they wait, in an environment intended to be reassuring and comfortable (a private area for work or phone calls, a play area for children).

Indivisa is a veterinary school hospital, so the teams are committed to training students to become competent, dedicated, and responsible veterinarians.

The Indivisa team: passionate professionals and experts who are committed to sharing their knowledge

At the heart of the veterinary school’s program, the training of veterinary students is based on a gradual immersion in real-world conditions. Starting at the end of their 4th year, students begin clinical rotations and actively participate in the care of animals, always under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Indivisa is also a multidisciplinary team comprising more than twenty clinical veterinary faculty members, more than twenty specialized veterinary assistants (SVAs), and a support staff. Together, they form a dedicated collective committed to both the quality of care and the transmission of knowledge.

Indivisa is led by Bernard Bouvy, a surgical specialist who ensures the facility’s high medical standards. He embodies a deeply educational vision of veterinary care.

“An inspiring team of veterinarians and veterinary assistants, constantly updating their skills to provide the best possible education, in line with ever-evolving standards and in keeping with Lasallian educational principles. Our students are our reason for being.”
Bernard Bouvy, Director of CHEV

This collaborative and learning-centered approach is fully aligned with the school’s mission, as highlighted by Caroline Boulocher, director of the UniLaSalle School of Veterinary Medicine:

“A mission driven by the public good and made possible by the fertile ground at UniLaSalle,” noting the unique character of the Rouen campus, which also offers programs in agronomy, biotechnology, data science, and equine studies.

She also highlights the site’s intercultural richness, with more than forty nationalities represented, making diversity a true educational asset for future veterinarians.

In this context, students play a central role: fully integrated into the care teams, they learn through hands-on experience, develop their clinical reasoning, and actively participate in the care of animals. This immersive educational approach, with direct hands-on experience, is one of Indivisa’s key distinguishing features and an essential tool for developing practical skills from day one, with the goal of training general practitioners.

Hervé Morin, Président de la Région Normandie

State-of-the-art facilities to treat all types of medical conditions

Indivisa also features a 3,000-square-meter medical facility comprising more than 20 examination rooms, 8 operating rooms, and a comprehensive imaging department (digital radiography, ultrasound), an X-ray scanner, and a low-helium high-field MRI—cutting-edge imaging technology that enables highly accurate diagnoses while minimizing helium consumption.

Designed with performance and sustainability in mind, the facility features a green roof, 57 photovoltaic panels, and an on-site medical oxygen production system.

An emergency and intensive care unit, equipped to provide comprehensive care and perform all types of procedures, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The building also features a laboratory spanning over 350 m² and two floors dedicated to teaching and research.

In total, 15 areas of care are offered at this new facility: general and preventive medicine, emergency and intensive care, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, imaging, nutrition, behavioral health, physical therapy, oncology, surgery, stomatology, neurology, cardiology, and reproductive medicine.

“With the new Indivisa Veterinary Hospital at the UniLaSalle Veterinary School, we are investing in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to animal welfare, education, and research. By supporting this project, the Rouen Normandy Metropolitan Area continues to reaffirm its commitment to training the professionals of tomorrow and supporting higher education and research institutions!”

Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, Mayor of Rouen, President of the Rouen Normandy Metropolis, and Abdelkrim Marchani, Vice President in charge of the economy, attractiveness and influence, digital technology, innovation, European and international affairs, higher education and research, youth, and student life

Experience at the heart of education

All spaces are designed to allow students to assume the role of learners, with their responsibilities within the hospital increasing gradually: consultation rooms with tiered seating, observation corridors equipped with audio recording and cameras in some rooms, teaching-specific equipment, audio and video recording in the operating room, a teaching suite...
