From raising awareness about student-entrepreneur status, UniLaSalle instills an entrepreneurial spirit in its students throughout their studies.
One of UniLaSalle's missions is to introduce students to the world of entrepreneurship and innovation in order to open up new possibilities for them.
Through three main types of initiatives, the Entrepreneurship team encourages students to consider starting their own business as a potential career path after graduation.
Raising awareness of innovation
The aim of the awareness-raising activities carried out during our engineering courses is to introduce UniLaSalle students to entrepreneurship and innovation.
These activities take two forms:
- Optional teaching modules, offered to students in the pre-engineering cycle (1st and 2nd years) and 4th year;
- Participation in competitions such as Hackathons, Start-up Weekends, and others.
Every year, several hundred UniLaSalle students are introduced to innovation in this way. Among them, nearly 300 participate in competitions, with many finalists and winners.
Are you a student interested in participating in an innovation competition? Contact the entrepreneurship advisor on your campus (contact details at the bottom of the page).
Entrepreneurship training
Depending on the engineering program, between 20 and 80 hours of classes are devoted to entrepreneurship.
Students who wish to pursue an entrepreneurial career can choose a specific track in their fifth year of engineering studies: the “E2I” track in Beauvais and the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” track in Rouen.
Supporting student initiatives
The PEPITE program
PEPITE (Student Hubs for Innovation, Transfer, and Entrepreneurship) support students and recent graduates in their business creation projects.
There are 33 PEPITE centers across France, which is a real asset for students with business projects, as they benefit from:
- The local roots of each center, which brings together higher education institutions, economic players, and associations;
- The networking of the various PEPITE centers, which allows for the sharing of best practices and new ideas between centers.
UniLaSalle's four campuses are covered by three PEPITE centers:
- PEPITE A2U for the Amiens and Beauvais campuses
- PEPITE Normandie for the Rouen campus
- PEPITE Bretagne for the Rennes campus
National Student Entrepreneur Status (SNEE)
Are you a student or recent graduate of higher education? You can obtain national student entrepreneur status.
This status allows you to:
- access personalized support for your project through the PEPITE program, regardless of its nature (start-up or takeover of a business, innovative or not, etc.);
- dedicate the internship periods included in your curriculum to your project.
To benefit from this status, contact the entrepreneurship advisor on your campus (contact details at the bottom of the page).
The Student-Entrepreneur Diploma
The Student-Entrepreneur Diploma offers a one-year tailor-made training program through PEPITE centers. It is open to anyone who has obtained national student-entrepreneur status.
The experience of former students is put to good use in helping students with projects! The UniLaSalle Alumni association offers a coaching service dedicated to entrepreneurship for UniLaSalle students and its members.
