The current technological revolution—with big data, data management, machine-tractor integration, field modeling, variable-rate application, and farmer-controlled management from the office—will help the agricultural equipment sector contribute to the ecological transition. This rapid development of new technologies requires new talent to sell, manage, monitor, and explain them through training. Unfortunately, we are seeing a shortage of training programs in this field and difficulty in recruiting these talents. The world of higher education must therefore continue to evolve and adapt to these new needs, for all importers seeking to expand in France and Europe.

UniLaSalle, a polytechnic institute of higher education, is already a specialist in life sciences and agricultural equipment training, offering several programs at different levels. Following discussions, UniLaSalle has developed this bachelor’s degree program to meet our current and, above all, future needs. We are already hiring young graduates from UniLaSalle as engineers but find this new bachelor’s program to be a valuable complement to existing training, with a stronger specialization in applied technologies for the agricultural sector among incoming students. We therefore support this new curriculum and the source of new jobs it represents.
