At the start of the 2025 academic year, UniLaSalle, alongside the Institut Agro and ISARA, is committing to a unique program to welcome and support Ukrainian students. Launched and funded by the Crédit Agricole Solidarité et Développement Foundation and its partners, this program will enable 15 young people from Ukraine to enrich their academic experience in France. Ten of them are being welcomed at UniLaSalle Rouen.
A shared commitment to agricultural higher education
Developed in collaboration with the Kiev Regional Education Administration, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Crédit Agricole Ukraine, and the French institutions involved, this program aims to offer students an enriching academic and social experience at engineering schools specializing in agronomy and agri-food.
Starting in September 2025, 14 students joined French campuses for mobility programs lasting from 6 to 24 months. At UniLaSalle, we are proud to welcome a dozen students from this class to our Rouen campus and to contribute to their education and development.
A valuable experience in Ukraine
These mobility programs, which are part of a recognized academic framework, allow students to earn ECTS credits validating a semester, a year, or a degree, and to complete an internship in France or Ukraine. This immersion will enrich their educational experience and strengthen their skills, in a context where Ukraine occupies a central place on the global agricultural scene.
Full financial support
Each student receives a scholarship covering all tuition and living expenses. The Crédit Agricole Solidarité et Développement Foundation has awarded a grant of €170,000, divided between the Institut Agro Foundation, the Terra Isara Endowment Fund, and the Jean Baptiste Gagne Foundation, hosted by UniLaSalle, to make this project possible.
A solidarity-based approach with a promising future
By participating in this program, UniLaSalle reaffirms its commitment to international openness and solidarity. Welcoming these young Ukrainians means helping to offer them an academic and professional future, but also strengthening the ties between our institutions and Ukraine around the major challenges of agriculture and food.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Crédit Agricole for awarding us this scholarship. For us, it is much more than financial assistance: it is an opportunity to learn, discover new things, and share our culture and experiences with others.
This opportunity allows us to study in France, broaden our horizons, and meet extraordinary people from all over the world. It is a step toward realizing our dreams and toward a future where we can give back what we have received.
We are sincerely grateful for your support and trust in us.
