Created by UniLaSalle and the National Institute for Blind Children, the Uninja program is ranked among the top 10 AGIRES SYNERGIE Awards in the category “Best initiative by a higher education institution in partnership with a company.”
On Thursday, June 5, during the Agires Synergie Awards ceremony, the Uninja program, created by UniLaSalle with the National Institute for Young Blind People as part of the Optique Commune consortium, supported by UNADEV and accompanied by SUEZ, was recognized among the Top 10 Best Initiatives by a Higher Education Institution in Partnership with a Company.

Uninja is a program that aims to encourage visually impaired high school students to pursue higher education by experiencing campus life and international mobility, while also raising awareness among students and future managers about visual impairments and the accommodations available to address them. This mentoring program is organized over two years and is unique in that it offers different immersive phases.
It begins with eight high school students in their junior year and their teachers spending two days at INJA, where they are welcomed by eight university students. This allows the mentors and mentees to get to know each other and the university students to become familiar with the accessibility tools. Five months later, it is the turn of the eight students to welcome the high school students to their UniLaSalle Rennes campus for three days, where they attend classes and discover the richness of student life.
On this occasion, last March, Anne-Sophie Marteil, Human Resources Manager for Recycling and Recovery at SUEZ France, came to present the group's CSR policy and its various areas of activity to the high school and university students.
The following year, these pairs set off together on an international mobility experience, an educational objective required in many higher education programs. In 2025, this group of eight students and eight high school pupils, accompanied by their teachers, traveled to Romania. It was an opportunity for cultural discovery, visits to several universities, and exchanges with association leaders and the French Institute.
Since 2018, Agires Développement and Synergie Campus Entreprises have been honoring the best collaborations between higher education institutions and companies through a unique event in France. The Agires Synergie Awards are an opportunity to highlight innovation, impact, and concrete projects resulting from exemplary partnerships.
For several years, SUEZ has been supporting UniLaSalle in the training and professional integration of students with disabilities. Recognition through this selection in the Top 10 is a continuation of this shared commitment to inclusion.
