The associate professor in ecology and microbiology at UniLaSalle Rouen was a guest on Mathieu Vidard's show on France Inter.
On Thursday, August 28, Coline Deveautour was a guest on France Inter's La Terre au Carré program, alongside Florian Kirchner, program manager for “Species” at the French Committee of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), to discuss a subject as fascinating as it is urgent: fungi and the threats facing these organisms that are essential to our ecosystems.
A lecturer and researcher in ecology and microbiology at UniLaSalle Rouen, Coline explained the difficulty of defining fungi from a scientific point of view, the key role they play in soil health, biodiversity and even the fight against climate change, before addressing the lack of monitoring of populations and the main threats to them.
