On Saturday, April 26, the class of 2024 at UniLaSalle Rouen took flight at the Halle aux Toiles, an iconic venue in Rouen.

A memorable moment for our students

A day they will never forget! For the 64 graduates of this year, Saturday, April 26 marked the end of a cycle and, for most of them, the beginning of their professional lives.

Under the watchful eye of their loved ones and Valentin DORCHIES (Agriculture, 2013, Beauvais), their class sponsor and current Director of Audit, Risk and Compliance at the Lactalis group, the 64 students officially received their UniLaSalle diplomas, making them part of the large family of “Alumni.”

Marie LUMMERZHEIM, Director of the Rouen campus from 2018 to 2023, spoke with emotion and expressed her pride at the graduation of the first class of engineers in “Agro, Food & Environmental Engineering”, the first engineering program taught entirely in English, unique in France, offered by the Rouen campus, which brings together students from all backgrounds.

Career paths designed to meet tomorrow's needs

Valérie LEROUX, Deputy CEO and Director of the Rouen campus, paid tribute to our Masters and Engineers in her speech, with special mentions this year for the career paths implemented on campus: Sustainable Management & International Trade, Farming for the Future, and Biosourcing, Biotechnology and Environment.

The mobility programs were also highlighted. Each student was praised for their courage and perseverance in the face of the demanding course, and then “encouraged to put their knowledge into practice and share the Lasallian values to build the future,” in the words of Brother Jacques D'HUITEAU, supervisor for higher education institutions in the La Salle network.

Sébastien WINDSOR, president of UniLaSalle, then took the floor and solemnly urged each graduate to “show the utmost gratitude for the commitment and sacrifice of their parents towards them,” recalling their constant support, in good times as well as in the most difficult moments and times of doubt.

Finally, Hugues Dumas, a graduate of the class of 2005, spoke about “the strength of our roots and our origins,” which we must never forget as we build the future.

These are messages that no one will soon forget on this day rich in sharing.

We extend our sincere congratulations to all the graduates who are now alumni and wish them every success in their future careers.
