Three students from UniLaSalle Beauvais are among the five finalists in the #Jeunesdeter inter-school challenge organized by OCAPIAT. Their video highlights work-study programs and career paths in the agricultural and agri-food sectors.

Launched by OCAPIAT, the #Jeunesdeter challenge aims to promote young people in training and work-study programs in the agricultural, agri-food, and regional sectors. Through a short video posted on TikTok, participants are invited to present their background, training, and the reasons that led them to pursue careers in these essential sectors. This national initiative gives a voice to a new generation that is already shaping its professional future.

A video to share educational journeys and choices

At the beginning of the year, three students from UniLaSalle Beauvais took up this challenge by making a one-minute video, with support from the communications and marketing departments and the UniLaSalle Apprentice Training Center. In it, they talk about their education, their choice to pursue a work-study program, and how their experiences are preparing them for their future careers.

Three paths, one dynamic

The video features three profiles with complementary backgrounds. Henri Poirel is a fourth-year engineering apprentice in agronomy and agro-industries and an employee of Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie, where he supports farmers in their projects, particularly those related to energy transition. Victor Leroux is a second-year student in the Agribusiness Bachelor's program and a work-study student at an agricultural dealership, in direct contact with customers and equipment. Mélissa Dufaud is a work-study student at Lactalis and a fourth-year student in the agri-food and health engineering program, with a strong interest in milk processing, from collection to transformation.

Through their testimonials, they illustrate a shared desire to learn by doing, as close as possible to the realities on the ground.

A national final and an appearance at the Salon de l'Agriculture

After deliberation by a jury of experts last December, the video produced by students at UniLaSalle Beauvais was selected as one of the five finalists in the #Jeunesdeter challenge. This recognition celebrates their commitment, the quality of their work-study programs, and the collective work carried out with the school's teams.

Congratulations to Henri, Victor, and Mélissa for this selection. The final ranking will be announced at the International Agricultural Show on Tuesday, February 24, at 2 p.m., in the agora located near the OCAPIAT stand. See you during the week of the show to find out the final result!
