UniLaSalle Rouen's specialized master's degree in Equine Science and Management (MS® MESB) comes to Normandy!

On September 21, the Hippolia cluster, a competitive hub for the French equine industry, and UniLaSalle, an engineering and veterinary higher education establishment, made official the resumption of the MS® MESB, Master of Equine Science and Business, for the start of the September 2024 academic year! This is the fruit of a collaborative effort with the entire industry to maintain this training program, which is widely recognized by industry professionals.

Officialisation MS MESB

In 2007, the Hippolia cluster and equine industry professionals joined forces with the Institut Agro Dijon to launch France's first Specialized Master's degree dedicated to the equine industry (MS® MESB). The aim was to train expert managers for the equine industry, destined to occupy executive positions in all horse-related sectors. Backed by the support of equine industry players and recognized by the French government with its RNCP level 6 title (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles), this course, created by and for professionals, is now fully recognized by them.

Supported by the Institut Agro Dijon, this training program has been enriched by partners such as the Ecole de Management de Normandie and the University of Kentucky, enabling the contribution of multiple skills on an international scale. The absence of a successor following the retirement of Professor Véronique JULLIAND, founder of the program at the Institut Agro-Dijon, meant that the course had to be suspended.

However, professionals in the equine industry have rallied to call for the MS® MESB to be relaunched.

UniLaSalle is proud to be working with the Hippolia cluster to keep this course alive in Normandy, the land of horses par excellence. It will be held on the Rouen campus, which is also home to bio-engineering and veterinary training courses.

More information coming soon!

We are delighted that UniLaSalle Rouen, based in Normandy, has been chosen to take over this master's program. The UniLaSalle MS® MESB will benefit from the synergies of the existing agronomy and veterinary engineering courses. With its 260 partner establishments, the international LaSalle Universities network and the international orientation of the Rouen campus will enable further exchanges with the University of Kentucky.
