Climate change and water resources: from global to local scale

As part of the City of Mont-Saint-Aignan's European Sustainable Development Week, the Rouen campus was pleased to host a conference on sustainable development and water resources.

Benoît Laignel, professor at the University of Rouen Normandie, co-chairman of the Normandy IPCC (Interdisciplinary Panel on Climate Change) and chairman of the IPCC for the Rouen Normandy metropolis, presented the main points of the latest report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and its implications for the Normandy region, with a particular focus on the impact on water resources.

Julien Demazure, Vice-President of the Seine-Maritime Department and President of the Syndicat Mixte de Gestion de la Seine Normande, outlined the resources deployed by the latter at local level.

Catherine de Flavigny, Mayor of Mont-Saint-Aignan, and Christophe Bostvironnois, Director of UniLaSalle Rouen, enthusiastically supported this highly topical event, in the presence of students, teacher-researchers and the general public.
