A dozen students from UniLaSalle Rouen braved the inclement weather to brilliantly represent their campus in an inter-institutional challenge organized by Normandie Attractivité.

Storm Benjamin did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of participants in the first ever Transat Sup’Normandie. Held on October 23 alongside the Transat Café l’Or, this inter-school challenge brought together nearly 400 students from more than 20 higher education institutions in Normandy for a series of sporting and recreational challenges. Among them were a dozen highly motivated students from UniLaSalle Rouen.

A Lasallian team that stood firm against all odds

Although the regatta could not take place due to weather conditions, the other activities gave rise to some great competition. Our Lasallian students demonstrated remarkable team spirit, infectious energy, and unwavering commitment, excelling in several challenges.

They particularly excelled in the waiters' race final, dominated the sumo tournament, and won the cornhole competition, a game of skill in which players throw cornbags into a hole in a sloping board.

Above all, they took first place in Kahoot XXL, a giant quiz on the theme of the transatlantic race and Normandy, thanks to the sparkling performance of Juliette Savoye, the captain of the Lasallian team.

A unifying event to promote the dynamism of higher education in Normandy

Created on the initiative of Normandie Attractivité with the support of the Normandy Region and the City of Le Havre, the Transat Sup'Normandie celebrates the talents and team spirit shared by students in the region. The event, which is intended to be festive, cultural, and sporting, contributes to the attractiveness of Normandy for students by combining quality education and personal fulfillment.
