Tuesday, November 14, 2017 New for the start of the 2018 school year, the Go LaSalle program will enrich the international experience of UniLaSalle's engineering students by drawing on the global network of La Salle universities (62 establishments worldwide). Some 20 partner universities, located in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica and the Philippines, will host nearly 150 students from the engineering school starting in summer 2018. Initially deployed for students in the Agronomy and Agribusiness engineering program, the scheme will be extended to students in the Food and Health program in 2019 and the Earth and Environmental Sciences program in 2020.
A program tailor-made with the host university

With Go LaSalle, students will benefit from a tailor-made program combining teaching quality and international openness. The program is based on three points:

  • The teaching programme is co-constructed between UniLaSalle and each host university so as to offer content adapted to UniLaSalle students;
  • The teaching is given in the language of the country to enable the students to reinforce their second language (Spanish, Portuguese or English depending on the destination);
  • The program is based on the worldwide network of La Salle universities (62 establishments in the world), which share identical values and similar academic and relational environments.

This scheme is part of an ambitious strategy which aims, by 2020, to offer students two compulsory international experiences within the three engineering courses at UniLaSalle:

  • An introductory experience in one of the 20 La Salle partner universities through the Go LaSalle program;
  • An experience of excellence at the end of the curriculum, where the student can opt for a stay (semester, degree-granting stay or double degree) in one of UniLaSalle's 135 partner universities or an international internship.
