Vincent Lamande has joined UniLaSalle Rennes as director. With 30 years of professional experience at the intersection of higher education, research, economic development, and innovation, he joins the campus with the goal of continuing and building on the momentum already underway, further strengthening its ties to the local community and its partnerships with academic and economic stakeholders.

Strengthening Ties with the Breton Ecosystem

Vincent Lamande, who holds a Ph.D. in Economics, served for 13 years as director of SATT Ouest Valorisaiton, a subsidiary of the universities and engineering schools of Brittany and the Pays de la Loire whose mission is to transform scientific discoveries into innovations and economic value. His career, particularly in supporting innovation projects and bridging the gap between research and business, has given him a solid understanding of academic and economic ecosystems, especially in western France.

As head of UniLaSalle Rennes, a non-profit engineering school recognized as being of general interest (EESPIG), he aims to use this experience to further the development of the campus and its partnerships.

“My goal is to strengthen the links between education, research, businesses, and the local community, in order to foster greater collaboration and create more opportunities for the benefit of our students and partners. UniLaSalle Rennes has many strengths that will enable it to play a full role in the dynamic Breton ecosystem.”

An Ambition Dedicated to Transitions

Located at the heart of the Rennes ecosystem, UniLaSalle Rennes trains engineers specializing in environmental issues: water, biodiversity, energy, the circular economy, sustainable cities, and more.

Vincent Lamande’s arrival is part of this momentum, driven by a commitment to strengthen the campus’s role as a key player in environmental transitions in Brittany and to expand opportunities for students, businesses, and partners.

“Transitions require bringing together different areas of expertise and stakeholders. They also require the ability to turn knowledge and innovations into concrete solutions. It is this collective dynamic that I hope to continue developing with our teams, students, and all of our partners.”

This new phase builds on the work carried out by Geoffroy Belhenniche, whom we thank for his years at the helm of UniLaSalle Rennes. He is now continuing his journey abroad. We wish him all the best.
