MSc Agricultural & Food Data Management

The Master of Science "Agricultural & Food Data Management" is at the interface between high technology and agriculture & food. This ranges from the processing of data retrieved by connected objects such as drones, satellites, tablets, telephones, data on the behavior of players in a sector, to the management and analysis of massive data for decision support.


By 2020, Big Data will be revolutionizing business, whether in management, R&D or marketing. The rapid development of digital technology is creating a new business for agriculture, and calling for new skills. The aim of the Master of Science is to train Data Scientists for the agricultural and agri-food sectors.

Objectives

  • Forge expertise in Big Data management, which has become a key factor in business performance and growth;
  • Acquire computer and statistical techniques, data mining and machine learning applied to agriculture and the food industry, with a particular focus on precision agriculture;
  • Developing a good command of statistical software and programming languages will be a real strength for students interested in research and development in fields such as plant nutrition and plant and animal epidemiology.

  • Four-month internship as part of an internship agreement or professional training contract with companies such as NatUp, SODIAAL, Promize (ISAGRI), Evolution XY or Agrial Maïsadour.

Admissions

  • French or foreign candidates who have completed an M1 or a foreign Bachelor's degree with a major in biology, ecology, life and earth sciences; agricultural engineers.
  • By way of exception: students with a L3 or equivalent diploma whose academic or professional experience guarantees the excellence of the course.
