The Humanities, Management and Digital Science department brings together teacher-researchers, doctoral students and engineers specializing in management science, management and digital science.

Issues, challenges and positioning

The Humanities, Management and Numerics department has a wealth of expertise in management, marketing and administration, and provides cross-disciplinary teaching in line with UniLaSalle's specialties in earth, life and environmental sciences.

Skills and teams

The department is uniquely positioned to offer both cross-disciplinary teaching (in line with UniLaSalle's universes) and its own specializations.

The department comprises 29 teacher-researchers, 3 PhD students and 1 engineer. It groups a wide range of skills around several disciplinary poles:

  • Management, finance, economics (micro/macro, circular), intelligence, strategy
  • Marketing, commerce, sales, distribution, communication
  • Management, human sciences (sociology and psychology), work organization (QHSE management systems), project and change management
  • Computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and 3D modeling, virtual reality, 3D printing, Data Science
  • Sustainable development, legal and political science, corporate social responsibility (particularly in the agri-food industry) 

He participates in UniLaSalle's research activities, notably within the Interact UP 2018.C102 unit (Innovation, Territory, Agriculture & Agroindustry, Knowledge and Technology).

The HuMaN department manages the following chairs: Risk Management in Agriculture with Groupama, Alliance Agri-Avenir with Crédit Agricole Normandie and is also involved in the Agromachinism and New Technologies chair.

Missions

The Humanities, Management and Digital Science department is involved in all the engineering courses offered on the Beauvais campus, as well as providing lifelong learning and consulting services to companies.

Some examples of our services:

  • Management: Financial management of operations, training for technical sales staff in the agricultural sector, training in understanding the sector, market studies, etc.
  • Management: Support in implementing ISO standards, internal audits and QHSE certification, team building, recruitment training, etc.
  • Digital: development of decision-making tools, digital simulations, development of Virtual Reality applications, creation of GIS Web interfaces, 3D printing, etc.

As a member of the PEPITE network, the department contributes to UniLaSalle's entrepreneurial dynamic by taking part in AgTech, FoodTech and EarthTech projects and organizing creative workshops.
